A new location providing holiday stays in the river-side town of Carrick-on-Shannon, opened to guests for the first time in 2024. Rowing-Club House is quite the architectural surprise, nestled into a quiet corner of the town’s scenic waterfront.Located just off Bridge St., one of the town’s main thoroughfares, and opposite the Carrick-on-Shannon rowing club, Rowing Club House is close to all amenities. Once you are here, you can walk to all pubs, clubs, cafés, restaurants, shops and cultural sites that Carrick-on-Shannon has to offer.
The house has been specially designed to accommodate large groups and is a striking addition to the townscape. It has been laid in such a way as to make the very most of the views along the Shannon. – with views that are a real treat for the visitor. The Kitchen and living area/private patio and balcony are located on the first floor and provide the perfect vantage point for boat-watching along the river, or indeed a spot from where you can watch the world go by below you, as you take it easy on your weekend away or holiday break.
The Modern Rowing club house consists of the following:
- 5 bedroom house to sleep up to 15-20 people in five bedrooms
- Bed 1 (sleeps 3) singles Bed 2 (sleeps 3 )bed 3 (sleeps 4) bed 4 (sleeps 4) bed 5 (sleeps 6)
- Five bathrooms with showers in each
- Car Parking directly in front of your accommodation.
- Traditional Irish Music literally on your doorstep
- The award winning gastro bar and restaurant the Oarsman is right outside your front door
- A really spacious open plan living/dining room filled with natural light and large windows directly overlooking the river Shannon
- Large private and secure patio are with bench and picnic seating and covered with two large umbrellas
- The open plan, fully fitted kitchen features an oven/hob, microwave, dishwasher, fridge and all the necessary kitchen utensils and crockery.
- Bed linen and towels are provided with goose and down duvets and pillows.
- Smart tv with call channels and access to Netflix/prime /Disney with own log ins
- High speed broadband and wifi throughout whole house
- Low Season: Jan – April & Oct – Dec
- High Season: May – Oct
- Midweek rates based on three adults staying with extra charge of €45pp per night after three guests
- Rates at weekends are for Fri & Sat night based on full house
